Dr.Anuradha Pichumani has completed her MBBS degree from Thanjavur Medical College in Tamilnadu, followed by postgraduation at Sri Ramachandra Medical University in Chennai. She has also completed her MBA in Hospital Management and in 2018 received a Diploma in Assisted Reproductive Techniques from Pius Hospital in Germany.

A Gynaecologist, Fertility specialist and Laparoscopic Surgeon by training, she is the Executive Director of Sree Renga Hospital, Chengalpattu, Tamilnadu responsible for administrative functions, including being the NABH Coordinator. Along with her husband Dr.K.P.Pichumani, she has nurtured the hospital from a two-bed Nursing Home into a 47-bed, NABH- and NABL-accredited multispeciality hospital over the past 30 years. Sree Renga Hospital was the first under 50-bed facility in Tamilnadu to earn the NABH Accreditation under Main Standards, back in 2012 and has many other First-in-the Kancheepuram district clinical credentials to its credit. Dr.Anuradha Pichumani is also a Director on the board of Narbhavi Multispeciality Hospitals, Kancheepuram, Tamilnadu, India.

As a practising ambassador of healthcare quality, She coordinates the International outreach efforts for CAHO
- Initiating partnerships with international bodies such as International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) and Asian Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua).
- In India, she mentors the pilot project on the rollout of the WHO Safe Childbirth Checklist in hospitals, in association with OGSSI5, RCOG-AICC6 and CAHO.
Dr.Anuradha Pichumani is a key coordinator of CAHO’s Hospital Infection Control, Fire Safety and Nursing Communication training programmes and has been instrumental in the design, coordination and conduct of CAHO’s first Certified Professional for Quality Implementation in Hospitals (Basic) – Government Hospital training programme in coordination with the Directorate of Medical Education and the Government of Tamilnadu. The programme has been conducted at four Government Medical College Hospitals in the Chennai area.

- National Innovation Award for her design of the ultraviolet-light-based decontamination of N95 masks in 2020
- Best State Representative Award from CAHO in 2019
- Outstanding Woman Professional Award by the FICCI Ladies Organisation, Chennai in 2017
- Dr.C.S.Dawn Prize at the All India Congress of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015.
- Her work on Experience-Based Co-Design (EBCD) was among the three entries from South East Asia selected to present at the First ISQua Quality Competition at the ISQua International Conference, Cape Town, South Africa, in 2019.
- Guest Faculty at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
- Research publications include a Field Report on the implementation of the WHO Safe Childbirth Checklist, co-authored with researchers at Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health, USA and a book chapter on Patient Experience.
