Nestled in the heart of our community, SRH has been a steadfast beacon of hope and healing over the past decade. As we commemorate this significant milestone, we pause to reflect on the transformative journey that has cemented our position as a cornerstone of healthcare excellence.
1992
- Sri Renga Hospital was opened in a rented building with 2 bed facilities.
1993
- 2 Bed facilities increased to 10 and a 24-hour testing facility was also introduced.
1994
- Sri Renga Hospital was established in its own building at the same location
1995
- Radiography department (300 MA X-RAY) and amputation department were also added
1996
- 24-hour dispensary opened
1997
- Bed capacity increased to 20 and an operating theatre and maternity ward were opened.
1998
- Bed capacity increased to 30
1999
- Ear, Nose and Throat, Eye, Neurology and Modern Departments were introduced.
2000
- Two modern operating theatres and a new delivery room were opened in the new building.
- Ultrasonography was introduced
2001
- Chengalpattu Fertility Center was started.
- Diabetes Treatment and Research Center was started for the first time in Kanchipuram district for the treatment of diabetes.
2002
- modern departments such as a diabetic eye clinic and a foot care clinic were introduced.
2003
- New main building, with 47 beds, was inaugurated with a first floor.
- Laparoscopic surgery, introduced from Germany, was introduced for the first time in Kanchipuram district.
2004
- Narbhavi Diabetes Foundation was started for free diabetes awareness and treatment camps in villages. 2004 - For the first time in Kanchipuram district, a dialysis center was started for kidney treatment.
2005
- Nursing Training School - Narpavi Institute of Paramedical Sciences was inaugurated.
- 2005 Second floor was constructed and rooms were opened with modern facilities.
2006
- Newly expanded Intensive Care Unit, cardiac monitor, and ventilator equipment were installed.
2007
- 2007 - Tamil Nadu Open University started a Nursing Training School with government recognition to add more pride to the center.
- Blood test laboratory was expanded and new biochemistry, laboratory and new amputation center were introduced.
2008
- ARAIGNA (Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidian Housing Development Corporation)
- One year training for nurses was approved by the institution. Monthly meeting for doctors at Sri Renga Hospital premises - Chengalpattu Clinical Society was started.
2009
- TREADMILL cardiac performance testing device was launched
- SPIROMETRY lung performance testing device was launched.
- Indian Medical Association approved operating theatre training was launched.
2010
- Modernized operating theatre was launched.
- CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) unit was launched.
- Blood Storage (Blood Storage) was launched.
- Laundry unit was launched.
2011
- Sri Renga Hospital registered for NABHAccreditation.
- 1 year internship training approved by Bharat Sevak Samaj was launched. (Approved by : BHARAT SEVAK SAMAJ, NEW DELHI Promoted by : Govt. of India Reg.No. TN/5302)
2012
- Endoscopy (Endoscopy & Colonoscopy) treatment unit with colonoscopy equipment was launched.
- X-Ray CR (Computerized Radiography) was started.
- Diabetic Foot Care was started.
- NABH accreditation was awarded to Sri Renga Hospital.
2013
- Integrative Intensive Care Unit (Intele ICU) was launched.
- Integrative High Dependency Unit (HDU) was launched. -Arterial Blood Gas Analysis Machine (ABG Machine) was launched.
- Integrative Day Care Services. New department was launched: Sree Renga Pain & Rehab Center Powered by Sree Venkateswara Physiotherapy Center (Sree Renga Healthy Living Center)
2014
- Integrative New Department was launched: Sree Renga Pain & Rehab Center
- Integrative Tele Ophthalmology Audiometry was launched.
- (O.P. Services in Collaboration with Appollo Children's Hospital) Blood Testing Room was expanded. (Blood Collection Department) - New Reception Room was launched. (VIP Lounge)

- New Dining Hall with water cooler for hospital employees. (A Library for Hospital's employees)

- New modern scan (Echo upgraded medicine for Echocardiography andUSG Scan)
- Waiting area for attendants f ICU and HDU
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit was moved.
- Surveillance cameras increased to 27. (Increased CCTV Cameras to 27 Units)
- Diabetes Education Center to explain to patients through video. (Diabetes education centre with CCD Monitor, for patient education activities)
- Test Tube Baby, the first Test Tube Baby was born in Chengalpattu using ICSI
2016
- Sri Renga Hospital's 25th Anniversary (25th Anniversary) Selected as a Quality Improvement Centre by Inal (IAEJN)
2017
- Eye Examination (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) and Radiology (TELE-RADIOLOGY) through Telemedicine
2018
- Award for excellent treatment of foot problems due to diabetes.
- Introduction of Blood Storage Centre through Gel Technology
2019
- Quality Council of India (QCI) & National Accreditation Board for Kayakalp Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) quality assurance certificate obtained.
2020
- National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratory (NABL) certificate obtained.
- Negative Pressure Surgery Room for safe treatment of wounds during the Corona period Launch.
2021
- Improved Dialysis Laboratory. -Renovated Pediatric Unit.

2022
- Improved Outpatient Unit and Pharmacy. 2022 - Improved Emergency Department (ER Department) 2022 Canteen launched.
